Jean-Claude Martinez is Chief Operating Officer and Head of Human Resources.

Jean-Claude Martinez is a member of the Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) Management Committee where he has served as Chief Operating Officer as of November 2009 and Head of Human Resources since May 2004. 

Jean-Claude Martinez began his career at Société Générale in 1978 where he subsequently held various functions in the fields of Human Resources, Finance and Risks, mostly in the securities and derivatives businesses.

Indeed, from 1985 to 1991, Jean-Claude Martinez was financial controller for various activities of the Capital Market division before being successively appointed Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer at Fimat, the derivatives brokerage arm of Société Générale. In 1995, he became Executive Vice President in charge of risk management for Fimat USA in New York before joining Fimat International Banque in Paris in 2000 as Corporate Secretary.

Jean-Claude Martinez, born in 1954, holds a master degree in econometrics from the University of Orleans, France.
